I would love to know if anyone out there strongly believes in one specific dealer in the San Diego/North County area. I live by Oceanside, but am willing to drive for the best deal.

Please let me know!

I bought my X from Mossy in Escondido last May. At the time they had a "fixed" $700 reduction off the MSRP and would not budge. Instead they raised the trade in value!

There are so many X's on the lots these days I can't see how you could miss with say $300 max over invoice.

As a dealer I thought they were very professional and took the time to do everything right.

Mossy in Oceanside is having their Grand Opening going on now. They have Xs starting at $17,995 for a 2wd. I now they are dealing on 4x4s as well.

I'm not super impressed with Mossy. They said that they don't barter with the sticker prices on their vehicles. I was offering them 3% over the invoice and they wouldn't budge. They also do not offer discounts on their accessory parts ($40 for the gear basket net!!!) I ended up buying a used ‘00 SE 4x4, 5SP for $21,500 on autotrader.com

i think pacific nissan in PB will deal. you just need to tell them how much YOU are willing to pay and then stick with it. give THEM a take it or leave it option and deal directly with the sales manager.

in the past i would FAX the sales mgrs at all thedealerships with a page telling them what i was looking for and what i was willing to pay. 90% of the time some dealer will bite because they want to roll another vehicle.

try it no matter where you live!

Got my new Xterra at Mossy Oceanside on SuperBowl Sunday. Just happened to be driving by on the way home from the Jeep dealer in Carlsbad... bad experience there. Decided to give the Xterra a test drive. Very professionally run outfit but don't expect to hagglewith them. Their prices were pretty much in-line with what I had researched and was expecting to pay. Tried to get them to throw in a Nissan cap and they would not. Guess they could tell that the cap was not a deal-ending threat. That's ok, I took off anything referencing Mossy Nissan, why give them free ad space. Since then I've been taking it for service at Pacific Nissan. It came recommened from a guy at work who has been very pleased with their service. If I had it to do over I'd probably buy from them as well.

I got my X from Pacific Nissan. They would deal and everything ran smoothly. I also got Mossy to deal from their sticker but had no intention of buying from them. Who said Mossy doesn't deal??
