Two things...
1) I will be setting up a Wireless Network Access Point (802.11b) at the Alpenglow condos along with a server for everyone to access. Hopefully, I will get it all connected to the internet as well (I have secured a modem & internet connection in Ouray). I have a high-gain antenna, so it should probably cover a couple blocks if not more. Look for the ")( GOX" network. As of now, I plan to have on the server: DHCP server, DNS server (to allow "http://www.gox/" addresses), web server w/ msg board, windows file sharing, Direct Connect p2p hub, irc server. Other suggestions are welcome. I will also be uplinking this wireless network to a 100Mbps switch so I can attach this network to the Xbox network (can I do that? I know nothing of Xboxes) or to laptops that don't have a wireless NIC.

2) Anyone bringing ham radio equipment? I won't have my mobile as I'm an Xterra guest now, but I will be bringing my new HT (Yaesu VX-7R- waterproof to 3 feet for 30 mins). Any thoughts on frequencies/repeaters/cool things to do in Ouray?

Groovy..

I will have my laptop and my mobile ham rig.
I usually monitor the FRS freqs and bump over to national simplex if needed.

I do not think there are any comprehensive repeaters in the area. (unless you are on a mountian)

Kewl...

I'm bringing my laptop also.

I plan to watch lots of "Movies", which I ripped from my DvD collection. Maybe load maps -n- stuff into my GPS.

Although, I may be cohersed into attending a gaming session of Quake III or Ghost Recon!

I'll see everyone there,
