Jorge,

Did you get in touch with Lu?

I saw him the other day and asked if he had heard from you?

I've got his email at home if needed again.

I totally forgot, I'm an idiot, I just emailed him.

Also I'm having trouble with getting my order from SLR. I have heard the "It's going out today" line way too much in the last week.

Edit: Oh, and thanks for the email.

I think I heard this for about 8 weeks.......

My dear, dear friend down in AZ certainly knows how to tell you it is shipping.

Good luck

I ordered: Torsion bars, Econ UCAs (w/ Zerk), 3 Pack AAL, 1" Shackles.

I ordered last Monday, and I made it clear that I needed everything by this weekend (Mod Day). So if anything wasn't going in stock to tell me, and I'll get it elsewhere. He said everything was in stock, just waiting on powder coating.

Okay, fine, couple days later, now the torsion bars should be in "tommorow". Okay, I still have a lot of time so I wait til the next day. They say "still waiting on the torsion bars" (This was last Friday, the last day that it could go out via ground and get here in time). So I told the guy, it needs to go out today, so just send everything without the torsion bars.

I call on Monday, he says, "Torsion bars should come in today, and I'll send out everything today 3rd day". Though I'm a little annoyed that he didn't follow my instructions to just send it without the torsion bars, I thought "great, I get free 3rd day", my mistake, he later tells me they'll be a slight price difference.

I call Tuesday, I get some random guy, and he says "I think I might have sent your package yesterday, but I won't know until tommorow, since Spencer is on a business trip".

Argh. So today sometime I'll find out if everything has been shipped.

There is the problem... you ordered the Econ UCA's

SLR must have been trying to scrape off the Calmini powder coat and it was taking longer than expected.

lol...

I called and ordered on Monday (two days ago) I asked if everything was in stock and he said yes. It would be shipped immediately.

This was my first time dealing with them and I found whoever took my order to be incredibly rude. I wanted to deal with Calmini because everyone seems very satisfied with their customer service, but they just don't offer the set up I wanted.

hopefully your stuff will finally get here. and mine too

Arrgghh. I called today, SLR sent out the packages. Strange, but one package went to my billing address (home), the other to my shipping address (work).

Okay, fine. But the problem is they shipped it GROUND, not 3rd Day. So it's going to be here 3 days too late for the Mod Day.

Oh, the saga continues.

I got my packages finally. One at home, one at work. Though I got 2 packages, paid $87 in shipping (and over paid $19 (I'll deal with that later)), I did not get the shackles and 3 Pack AAL.

Edit: SLR called me back, theres a mystery 3rd box that went out on "Thursday or Friday" that doesn't have a tracking number, with the AAL and shackles. So in reality it wasn't sent yet. This is so dumb.

If anyone from SLR reads this, note this: It's better to be honest with people when a package is going to be late, people are fairly patient, but it makes you look sleazy when you lie about packages leaving when they really don't.

Call the credit card company and dispute the charges . This will delay SLR from being paid. Let them wait for a month or 2 then call the credit card company back and let them know if you are satisfied. It's a shame a company dedicated to Nissan and racing and is home grown screws over the same type of people......Spencer may be a good racer however his business skills are lacking....

Jorge,

I am truly sorry to hear that you are having problems with SLR. frown

As soon as I come into money - selling the second home, winning lottery, getting paid to 'knock-off'
someone, I'll be replacing my front lift. I hope that this will resolve a number of issues.

My new bumper will have to wait mad til I get the suspension problems resolved by removing my lift.

Update: 3 Days, no tracking number on the "mystery 3rd box" as it's now known as.

Mod day tomorrow, so I'm installing everything up front.

Newer Update: Called again, now theres a mystery 4th box that contains nothing but the shackle sides. When the box was shipped, and it's destination (work? home?) are unknown.

Day 22 of the SLR saga.

I still do not have a tracking number for either the AALs or the shackles (mystery box 3 and 4).

I would cancel the order on the shackles (and get the Calminis), but he already sent me half of them, so I'd have to return it.

I have 2 tracking numbers. Looks as if both mystery boxes were sent on the 22nd. I should get them on Friday. I hope.

Yeah heres my update.... I received my rear bilsteins on Thursday (22nd). No Shackels and no AALs. Of course they were the wrong Bilsteins, but that was only half my problem. So, I call SLR and ask whats going on and they tell me they will call me back. They call me back and don't say they will call me back again later. That call never came.

So i called them yesterday. He gave me three tracking numbers, and informed me that "i caught them during their rush, and he apologized". I wondered why i wasn't told this before hand. So i checked my tracking numbers and every single item (including the seperate AALs) were shipped at different times.

Whatever... I should have listened to everyones warnings

So you'll have the AAL by this weekend also? I'm having a mod-day at my house if you're interested. (Weather permitting)

I think the weather is more predictable than you getting your parts from SLR.

SLR Saga: Day 25.

I received mystery box 3 and 4. To my surprise, these are the AAL. No packaging material at all. Just a paper label. The UPS guy was even confused by this.

So I called wondering about the shackles, he gives me a 5th tracking number.

I'm up 5 packages for 4 items, all which would fit in 2 boxes with no problem (1 with a little bit of creativity).

So June 4th I'll have the sides to the shackles, since I have the hardware already. Oh, and I should be getting an SLR T-shirt.

UPDATE: The bolts for the AAL are completely stripped and bent.

Carlton....that is a classic statement. I love that.

Jorge....sorry to hear about all your troubles. I've been happy with my SLR steering setup....but this customer service I am seeing in your situation, as well as others, is an absolute joke. Someone needs to get their shit together in AZ, or get out of business.

PS. Don't count on your t-shirt. I'm still waiting for my decals 9 months after requesting them.

The T-shirt is more or less a gift to appease. Now if I ever do get it (I'm not holding my breath, nor do I plan on sporting a T-shirt for a company I wouldn't refer to my enemies), I wouldn't be suprised it he managed to fit it into 2 boxes, and 4 months late.
