has anyone installed this? I'm undecided rather to install this one or the 2" suspension lift from 4x4parts.com. I think that ones made by Rancho. if anyone has an opinion on this let me know

Go to the Suspension forum and click on the search icon on the top left. Then type in SL or Suspension Lift or Calmini Lift. You will find more then enough to read.

Rancho's lift for the X sucks big hairy moose cock...don't bother.

Calmini's lift is a better choice, and so is SLR's.

Or just go all out and SAS it right away or go with the Total Chaos long travel setup...

Is cost or downtime an issue?

There are big ticket options that outperform what you are considering at present...but in the $ thousands instead of $ hundreds.

If you know what the lift needs to do for you (Besides height of course...)...you can choose a build-up path that makes sense...and hopefully, doesn't waste parts/lets you add, rather than replace prior mods, etc. - Lets you build in stages that make sense/let you have fun while waiting.

There are options today that did not exist for the X a year ago...and new options coming down the pike that will also make the future more fun.

SLR, Calmini, AC, Total Chaos...all making suspensions for you....and all with sub-options for each.
