The pic is just of the new Skidrow bumper from the EOE site:

http://www.extreme4x4parts.com/

Just click on pic on main page.

The tire moves toward the truck if you do not have gas cans.

Does it adjust up and down, so as to not ruin all rear visibility?

I haven't seen it in person, but I doubt it. When deciding on the position for my tire carrier it came down to a choice of departure angle vs window visability. If you get below the window you've nullified the gain from having the tire on the rear. It would be an interesting option for when you're back on the road though (I guess that's just more parts, and more wear, more cost, etc. etc.)

Schlud, which brand did you end up going with?

Or, for anyone that has one, how bad is the rear view visibility? I could stand loosing a little bit, but I would hate to almost lose total visiblity. argh..!!

My bumper is a bit of ancient history nowadays. While I'm very happy with what I have (after spending coin to fix it) It's an option I don't encourage anybody to purchase now that there is one and soon to be two quality bumpers available (Calmini and SkidRow)

You loose a lot of visability. Just a fact. Here's the view out my window (maybe someone can post a view of a Calmini one, but I guess it's close to the same). Now remember this is taken from the camera you see which is above eye level, so actual visibility is probably worse. That's a 31" BFG AT.

I saw it in person this weekend at ECXC. It doesn't stick out as far as you think it does really. As for being adjustable, no. It is not. As far as Pikachu told us, there is no set price, but it can come w/o the tire carrier and from what I hear, a few other types of mounts (CO2, Jerry Can etc.)

Looks good... although I have to wonder... in the event of a minor rear end accident, wouldnt the tire do some major damage to the rear hatch/window?

Something to consider when you get a rear tire carrier...

Which way do you mean it's non-adjustable? It *is* adjustable going in and out. Just not up and down.

It actually does adjust up and down as well as in/out, also everyone needs to remember those are 36" tires on Pika's truck.

I stand corrected. For some reason I don't remember seeing the up/down adjustable holes.

The mount the tire is bolted to can be rotated to allow for the tire to be lower, it's in the offroad position in those pics and how Pika had it this weekend.

Rhombus can you post a bigger shot from the website, the pic at 12 and 3 o'clock in the collage should allow everyone to see how it's mounted and how the pin can be pulled and the tire rotated.

Depends on what vehicle. Most of your Honda types would go under my rear bumper and that's not going anywhere. laugh These carriers are stronger than your average SUV carriers that you see on TV going through windows. But with enough force all metal bends eventually.

BTW That's really cool Todd that the tire can be lowered after offroading.

Todd.. Can you post a picture showing the departure angle in relation to those fuel tanks?

Also.. was the rubbing issue resolved between the tanks and the high lift?
