My 2002 4x4 dosen't have limited slip. I wanted to get the sport package but figured I would't do to much offroading anyway.But if I do decide to venture of the beaten path what's the differance between having or not having the limited slip option?

Ok a truck with out limited slip diff when in snow, mud, slick road,..etc, etc means if you start to spin your rear tires that only one tire will sit there and spin making your oposite tire useless. Adding a limited slip diff allows both wheels the ablity to gain traction giving you better grip. If you keep your off roading to the light hearted kind (not sinking your X in a mud bog) you should be fine going off road. I had an Explorer for many years and it had a regular diff and I too it many places off the beaten path.

hmmmmmmm that I'm not sure about with out doing some research. Limited slip diff came on my X but the sticker does not show how much extra it is.

I believe Warmonger in FLXX has a LSD sitting around that he replaced with an ARB air locker. Also, Mosi, and toyman in the PNWX both have Air lockers installed. It is likely they have LSD's collecting dust.
