i just got a body lift and i have absolutely no experience with anything this big....so i was going to see how much it would set me back to have someone put it on..well anyways, they estimated $2100....b/c they said it would take 2 guys working for 2 days to do it........is that reasonable???? and if you know a place in the alabama area who does this kinda work, i would greatly apreciate it! thanx so much

Reasonable? Holy crap, that's a total rip-off.

Find a few Xterra friends and have a mod day. Save some cash.

 Sounds perfectly reasonable to me..in fact, I'll do it for $2000 and save you a hundred...
Just kidding, get some freinds with tools and do it yourself or at least get a couple of other estimates. JMHO.

I went to the local 4x4 shop a few months ago, Lift Kit Wharehouse I think.. and they wanted like $1100 for a 3 inch lift, with bumper relocation brackets, and the frame liners.. installed.. that is parts & labor.. And that is California labor... like $85 an hour

Around here, in the midwest, I would say $300 for the kit, and $500-600 in labor to put it on. It is a lot of work, that's for sure, but not over $2000 worth. Even for a suspension lift, you're looking at $1000 in parts, and $500 installation.

for $2,100.00 you can just buy a SUSPENSION lift and get it installed. $1,000 in parts and about $500-600 in labor. don't pay that shop, or you'll be kicking yourself in the balls after reading these numbers.

Where do you live in Alabama awal? I recommend a place called "sport trucks". It's a short drive from downtown birmingham. They do good work and theres no way they would charge you near that much.
