In the last couple months I've been hit with the mod bug good. I'm wondering if putting some headers on the good ol X will make much of a difference? I'd be having a shop run 2 1/4" back to the muffler with no cats. I'm not worried about any smog type issues, but is there anything else I should consider like a difference diameter? Will eliminating the cats cause any problems with the delivery of fuel?

Right now I have a K&N intake and a 2 1/4" Flowmaster 40. It's PML'd running 33 x 12.50s and will be up 2" via BL here a month or so.

Yes. They do make a difference. No, they don't effect the fuel mapping.

True, but they do SOLVE the problem that Nissan introduced with the wonderful cracking exhaust manifolds. :rolleyes:

Thanks for the replies. I've been wondering about my manifolds. Sometimes it sounds like there is definately a leak but right when I'm pumped and ready to check it out I can't hear anything and end up just leaving it. Figuring maybe I'm hearing things to try and push me over to getting the headers...
