Here is a pic of the gaps in the header, there are gaps around all three but I can only get 2.

You'd think a round tube in a round hole would be easy to make.

I take it you see the problem I have with them now? Now that they are off I just wanted to clear things up and post a pic, seemed like you all didnt believe me. Yes they are both like that.

Nah; I believed you, I just couldn't quite figure out what and where you meant. That really sucks...I hope SLR sends you some that are sealed and that they reimburse all your costs. With my manifolds cracking every 16K miles I need a solution but those aren't going to help if they aren't sealed! Keep us posted!

Yikes!!

I know that SLR likes to put hole in things (kinda like they did with the Calmini UCA's)...

But I think they are going to far with putting holes in their header!!

All joking aside.. I am suprized to see something like that ship from SLR. Although I disagree with the prices they charge for some of their products, I always thought their products were built well.

It will be interesting to see how they handle this.

What happened I dont really know, except Im out $550. I took them off and had my girlfriend ship them back. Well She took the to the post office and didnt get a tracking number, or insurance, or dilivery conformation. When I called SLR to see what was up they said they didnt get them. I had to wait 30 days to fill out a form at the post office to see if they can find it, and they basicly said Im screwed. If they did get them there is no way to know, if they didnt they are lost and havent come back. The way I see it I spent all that money to have them on my truck for 3 days, and it wasnt worth it.

Well, not to take sides with SLR because they did ship you bad headers, but...

...your first mistake here was to ship anything USPS. I absolutely will not ship anything USPS unless someone makes me and I strongly discourage it. Way too many problems with them with things not delivered, things delivered three months after shipping, etc! So here's my guess about what has happened. USPS tried to deliver the headers to SLR but nobody was there so they took them back to the Post Office. Because they are the USPS, they did not leave a notice telling SLR that they have a package sitting down at the Post Office so SLR assumes they aren't there. After sometime sitting there the Post Office will eventually ship the headers back to you...how nice! Or, they got shipped to China and are on their way back so SLR will get them next month. eek

I'm sorry, this really does suck and I hope it works out. I really do feel, however, that your last round of trouble is more likely the USPS and not SLR. Keep us posted!

Trust me, if I thought she was going to ship it that way I would have told her not to, I assumed she would UPS so its my fault I guess. I am hoping that they will turn up, which is why I filled out the form for lost packages at the post office. But really I am sure they wont show up.
