Well I just installed a new Gibson Cat back on the truck. Ordered it from slr on the 11th of nov, just got it yesterday
Anyway it is replacing the HKS exhaust that I put on almost 4 years ago. The Gibson isnt at loud or deep as the hks but it still sounds nice.

Getting rdy to buy gibson stainless, what you end up paying (if you dont mind)?

The best price I found was from Best Darn Parts - $355 stainless and $275 Al (both incl. shipping). He may have got a better deal than what SLR shows, but SLR's website lists the stainless at $350 ($371 shipped to my Zip code) and $250 for the Al. ($271 shipped).

I got my exhaust in less than a week from Best Darn Parts. I've never personally bought from SLR, but you may want to check out some of the threads in the Mfr forum on SLR before you buy from them.

You could probably also just go to a local shop and get a system welded on for less than a cat-back would cost - maybe save $100 or so.

$249+ $36.80 shipping. I just couldnt manage the cost of the stainless right now, so I got the aluminized one.
As for SLR, they are hit or miss, my Bilstein shocks were here in under a week, someone from SLR even called and left a tracking number on the machine the day after I ordered them. As for this exhaust system I ordered it on Friday November 12th, the packing list on the box from Gibson says: Order date 11/30/04, Ship date 12/01/04. 18 freaking days that order sat at SLR? WTF thats just plain old crappy business. If they wait for like 10 or 20 orders to come in before the send off the bulk order to Gibson, they need to inform the customers of this business practice.
