I ordered a set of Bilsteins, and I wanted to get the 20%'s. But on the invoice on the computer it says BILB46-1099-H1. Isn't H1 the 4X2 (10%) and H2 the 4X4 (20%)?

One other quick question, they already shipped it out, and its really going to be a pain in the ass to ship it back for the right one (if I'm right bout the part number). So would the H1 work on a 4x4 and would there be a major difference in performance/absorbtion?
I'd search but I'm at work and I don't have time, but I'd also like to deal with them this afternoon before the weekend.

Where did you get yours from? SLR? or that other place you mentioned last week (I forget)?

I too, had the same question. So I e-mailed SLR yesterday. Here is their response:

"I haven't had a chance to check out the message board to see that post yet, but I will clarify the part numbers for you.

B46-1099-H1 *is* the 10% stiffer shock, and this is what you ordered and were sent.
B46-1099-H2 is the OE replacement shock
B46-1099-H0 is the 20% stiffer shock"

I am taking what they told me is the truth.

PS: My rear shocks just came today too.

Yeah that sounds about right, the H2 is technically supposed to be for the 4x4 and I'm 99% sure is 20% stiffer. The H1 is 10% and is technically for the 4x2. It doesn't seem to matter which one you want (except for bilstiens warranty) but I'm going with the H2 for the 4x4 because 1. 20% sounds good 2. SLR suggested it. and 3. Bilstien suggests it.

Anyway, I ordered them from truckperformance.com and they are $52. But if you've ordered from them before, you get them for $49.50. They have both front and rears in (as of yesterday). It turns out their catalogue said the H1 was for both the 4x4 and the 4x2 and so they ended up sending the wrong shock. Someone mentioned him before, but scott (ex 202) has been awesome about the whole deal and he turned around the shipment in seattle and hes going to send out the right gear.

Ok, I reread what SLR sent you and it doesn't add up. The H1 says 10% stiffer and bilstien says its for the 4x2. So it the shock for the 4x4 (bilstien says H2) MUST be stiffer. I know for sure the H0 will be stiffer than both because its for the winch/arb owners.

So according to Bilstien, lowest to highest stiffness would be H1, then H2, and stiffest H0.

But SLR seems to be saying, H2, then H1, and stiffest H0.

I don't know anymore....

Yeah, I think the bilstien suggested one is right. This is from the group buys forum.

B46-1099-H1 4X2
B46-1099-H2 4X4 (10%)
B46-1099-H0 4X4 (20%) valved for extra weight of winch

I am confused too! Bilstein's site says something different than what Spencer told me. But I don't care anymore. I just want to get them on ASAP. Hopefully tomorrow, if is nice out. If not, maybe Sunday.

Here is what else they told me:

"Yes the H1 are 10% stiffer.
Please note: 10% 20% and OE valving are on in Compression valving.
It is very hard for a person to notice the difference in the 3 different shocks.
These shocks are ran on a shock dyno to determine valving #s.

The 20 % HO work well with additional weight.
A shock dyno is the only one that determine the deference between the H1 & H2."
