Well, as I posted in my previous post I know that hight in sport cars like Corvette for example can be adjusted within 1" - 2" on a stock leaf spring bolts. Can I achieve same thing with my XE? I plan to put higher tires (from 265/70/15 to 31/10.5/15), therefore gaining an inch of ground clearance from the tires and if I can squiz 1.5 - 2" increase from the stock bolts, then total of 2.5" increase in ground clearance is all I desire.
If not can you post the least expensive way to increas my ground clearance (to go over rocks) between 2" - 3"?

While technically it is a leaf spring it couldn't be more different than what the Xterra has. The Vette has independant suspension with a single leaf spring (made out of fiberglass) mounted transverse and does its duty for both sides in a completely different way than traditional leaf springs. Have you ever looked at your Xterra's springs? Here is a picture of the Vette:

Do a search for Add-A-Leaf. You'll find a host of information on raising the ass-end.
