Yes it fits. I have it on my 02.

Be prepared to have a lot of extra parts.

And don't forget to tie down the steering wheel!

If you don't the wheel will spin freely and break your spiral cable.

everyone talks about lifting their truck, how'bout lowering it for better highway performance. i'd like to install a system that will allow me to lift and lower my steed at will.
i guess like the new Porsche has.
any ideas?

its a custom multi-thousand dollar job. but your probably lookin at going to a custom 4-link suspension with airbags.
this would allow you to lower and raise the vehicle at will. Hell you could even set the frame on the ground when you park preventing theft, if thats your style.

thx guys, but i was thinking that there had to be something simpler than all that.
i may even get shorter shocks when it's time to change them to lower it just 2 inches and forget about going too (off-road) extreme.

Shocks have nothing to do with how the Xterra sits. Shorter shocks will simply bottom out and break when going over bumps.

If you want to lower it, it will cost money, and lots of it. Better to sell it and buy a Subaru.
