I got an alignment today and after the guy was done he said i need longer or new tie rods because mine are to much on and angle? I dont think we can do anything about that when having a 3in. lift? Am i right or wrong?

I haven't heard of anybody having to get longer tie rods. I replaced mine with the same length and there is plenty of threads on them, even before I put on a new steering system.

I think they guy who did your alignment is pointing out the obvious. Yes the angles of the Tie rods are not parallel with the ground as they were stock, they are at an angle because of the lift. Maybe he doesn't know that it happens when you lift the X. And because of these more extreme angles these steering components are prone to break, OE parts that is. Long tie rods I don't think will bring them to a more stock look. All you can do is beef up the steering with Calmini or LP because those built up parts can withstand the angles.

Or SLR and L&P...My Calmini system seems to be stressing the pitman arm/power steering connection too much.

The only reason to go with longer tie rods is is you increase the front track width of your X...ie long travel setups.
