(Bilstiens work in the front too, thye don't just make rear shocks) BTW - The shocks for the front and back are typically installed as a matched set, so that the roll, pitch, yaw, understeer/oversteer response of the shocks is not in conflict with vehical control, etc. So, while you COULD run different valving scenarios front to rear, and it might be fine, it might also be less than optimum. That said - the rear shocks are the only ones needing more travel for a lift, etc...the OEM front's reach ok as is, they just don't ride or handle as well as a new upgraded set would.

Old Man Emu makes shocks for a few makes...like Jeep.
They generally ride nice, but are a bit short on travel.
In Australia, the lifts are limited to 2.5", so the shocks do not have to travel as far...and OME lift kits for example are 2.5" lifts, and you add spacers for example, to make up the difference...which of course doesn't increase the shock travel.
