Ok, so I searched and found nothing so hear it is. If I were to cut my rear bump stops down would I get more travel/articulation? I know the shocks are also a limiting factor as well but would cutting them work???? thanx [drink]

When I installed the 3" suspension lift, it came with bumpstop extensions. Since I broke 3 of the 4 bolts off that held the bumpstops on, I figured I'd get around to either drilling them out and re-tapping or just welding the extensions on. Well, two years later, I've failed to get around to it.

I've had my truck offroad many many times and have yet to have any issues.

Just my $.02.

It depends on your tire size and compressed shock limits mostly.

If you have room above the tires and have shock compression left, when on the stops...trimming them will increase your uptravel.

If you don't have the room for the tires or the ability to further compress the shocks when on the stops, then no, it won't help.

You can over come the tire room problem with a body lift very quickly...the shock issue is really a harder solution, as you either relocate the shock mounts, or get shocks with a shorter compressed length.

Shocks that can compress to a shorter length typically have a shorter extended length...which now hurts your Down Travel. (Droop)

On the plus side...most of the shocks compress down far enough to work...and its mostly tire hit you need to address...hence the popularity of the BL solution....which of course lets you mount even larger tires. laugh

I'm running 305/70/16's (A little taller, and a little fatter treaded than a 33x12.5/15) on the stock bumpstops, with a 2" BL, and the tires just almost kiss on compression...about right....if I trimmed my stops, I'd hit on compression.

Just go to AC and order the Revolvers for the X...they're all the same.
