i went over some curbs today to get out of a parking lot and my front suspension was creaking and "popping" and making a lot of noise, like it was about to break? any ideas, is this cause the pml or is it something else.

Probably...I have a PML on my X, and when I make a Rapid Turn into a Driveway or something, my front suspension makes a creaking and "popping" noise also...could be the Front Torsion Bars are Cranked Too much...just my 2 cents!!!

Yes, you broke it. now you need an SAS, 35's and mt's.

If the wheel was cranked to either side pretty hard then you might have been hearing the steering stops rubbing. No big deal.

And if you didnt have the wheel turned all the way, could be your U bolt on the axle loose. The supplied lock washers on mine totally fell apart (the nuts were torqued to the proper values) and therefore made the axle a bit loose on the leaf springs. Made an awful racket until I figured out what was wrong. For the longest time I thought it was coming from the front of the X.

I have metal spacers in the front. If I go over a speed bump straight on, I get a loud metallic thumping sound, it's normal.

You've got a totally different suspension setup.
