Well as I posted before I put the 265/75/16 nittos on my 03 and thought trimming would not have to be done... I really stuffed one at decent speed last week and found out otherwise. There is no getting around the trimming with 32"tires no matter what anybody says on the 1st gens ...So the 32" tires brought my diffs off the ground a 1/2 inch or so...now for a lift...do you all think the PML with shackles would be the best thing? I mostly hit trails and fire/logging roads with deep ruts and steep grades and sharp tight turns and spaces....Any ideas appreciated...David

Also it looks as if 60mph on the speedometer is now acutally about 65mph.. does this sound about right with that difference of tire size?

Well, no, no trimming for 31's...removal of the front wheel well plastic for 32's, and a 2" BL for 33's.

You might have gotten confused with lift vs trimming. No LIFT is needed for 32's...just trimming of plastic....esp at the rear ledge of the front wells where the mud flaps used to mount.

No, not confused...understand the 32" tire thing (just did not think I was going to trim then I stuffed the tire hard, plastic is now trimmed) no probs... question is.. WHat is the BEst lift to go with now for what I stated?...just wondering what to do with my X now..

Got any pics of the plastic you had to trim? I'm not sure how trimming the plastic will prevent the tire from stuffing.
Isn't trimming due to rub different from stuffing the tire due to compression???

Yeah I will post a pic....you dont get how when you stuff an oversized tire up in the wheel well it hits plastic? well, it hit it hard enough (when compressed on a turn only) to rub the outside edge of my tires from the plastic lip where the mud flap used to come flush to.......taking the new egde off the outside of the tires... after trimming and driving=no rubbing for me.. [Wave] So go figure..
