#425047 - 28/12/07 05:14 PM Lift = maintenance nightmare?

Hey I want to get a 2" lift and was told that a body lift was a hassle. So I was told to get this:
http://www.4x4parts.com/public_html/shop...854a362bc815134
and
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/05-08-Nis...1QQcmdZViewItem

But 4WheelParts does not sell these things. So when I went to 4WheelParts, the guy there told me that lifting an 05 Xterra would be a "maintenance nightmare". Is this true? Would I have problems if I lifted my X using the 2 things I linked? If so, what else could I do?
Thanks

I have a couple of quick questions

1. why would you open a second thread to ask the exact same question?

2. What spacific "maintenance nightmare" are you refering to? A are a lot of people running the lift that you are referencing without any "maintenance nightmare".

1.ripcurl2151 told me to post in the suspension section.
2.I think the 4WheelParts guy meant maintenance referring to like the OEM parts not like the lift would need maintenance.

I had the exact same lift you are looking at but made by DayStar and have never had a maintenance issue at all. I can't even think of what the guy would have told you regarding maintenance nightmare.

You install the spacer lift in the front and replace the shackles in the rear and get an alignment done and you end up with a 2" suspension lift. Simple as that.

Then take a few pics and post them up for Us to check out.
