What's the best DVD burning program out there, free or pay? Is there one that simply considered the best, or several that claim that? I'm looking to burn some movies. Some will come from my DVR, others from video files on my hard drive. I had a pretty decent Toshiba program that came with my laptop, but I lost that when I downgraded from Vista back to XP. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I use several apps, depending on what I'm burning.

For burning ISO Images I use Imageburn - http://www.imgburn.com/ Freeware and brilliant.

For non-image files, say I have a bunch of Video_TS files from a DVD Rip, I use Nero.

Nero could of course do both - but I like the right click shell integration of Imageburn. Right Click ISO, select 'Burn using Imageburn' and you're away.

Thanks. I haven't used Nero in awhile. Is Nero good at video editing and/or creating menus and stuff or is it still basically just a "burning" program?

DVD Shrink will not do what the OP wants...it won't even burn directly without Nero installed.

CDBurnerXP.

Does everything Nero does...but for free.

Yes, but that was for free-only programs on Vista. I'm willing to pay if it does everything I need. I was going to go buy Nero, but I'll try that CDBurnerXP first. Thanks.
