Axle tube size notwithstanding, will any Dana 44 armor fit?

None of the armor that fits on using the diff cover bolts will work for standard D44 applications, as the D44 in the X has 12 bolts, rather than the 10 on the standard D44.

If you find someone that does a Skid for the D44, please let me know. Already hit my diff once and made her leak frown <>

Ah yes, my first lo/lok trip resulted in a scraped drain plug and diff cover. I was on my way to peeling my diff cover back.

To add to the replies, the axle tubes on the new Xterras are LARGER than the ones on the standard Dana 44s used on new Jeeps. See my sig, I know because I checked. wink

I'm sure one could be modified fairly easily, but don't know of an off the shelf skid that will fit as is.
