Hello Everyone, hope the summer is treating you all well.

I have noticed an unusual problem with my 2006.

I hardly use the AC, and when I do, It works fine. On long trips, I actually end up turning down the AC temp because it gets too cold.

Recently, when the AC is off, and the fan speed is on either 0 or 1, and the temp knob on coldest, Im getting very cold air out of the vents (when its about 80+ degrees outside). It almost feels like my AC is on when the indicator button says its off.

Anyone else have this problem? Is this residual cooling? Am i going nuts? A mind is a terrible thing to lose...

Any thoughts? Thanks!!

On my 04' if you select the vent to window defroster, it automatically turns the AC on, even if you dont turn the AC knob on. Perhaps the new ones have a similar feature.

Well, it gets awful cold on any setting......

I could only notice it on the (main vent) setting... (arrow pointed towards me)

Or the Main vent/foot setting....

Should I read the manual?

You should see if the compressor is kicking in or not but hitting the A/C button and see if you notice the compressor kicking in or not. If you feel it turn on you know that the A/C is not on and your just getting free cold air. If you do not notice any difference than your on already and you need to have it looked at.
