Not sure if this was a unique experience to me, but wanted to pass this along.

I ordered a pair of replacement wiper inserts from Courtesy Parts recently, and was surprised to see that the metal strips used on either side of the refill to provide rigidity are no longer included, and you just get a floppy rubber insert. It's easy enough to reuse the ones from the old blades, but historically these have been included in factory insert replacements.

I guess it's all part of the master plan to regain profitability at NNA!

I can not speak for Nissan since my X is my first Nissan but Toyota factory wiper replacements only give you the rubber wiper.

So your experience seems normal to me.

BMW also does not give you springs, you have to re-use the old ones.
