I've got an 05 that i bought July of 2005, the carpet between the seats and the door sill on my driver side front, and both passenger sides seems to be fading, like from sun damage. I have a gray interior and the carpet looks like it's bleached or something, but I have no sun hitting those areas, I've got tinted windows. Anyone else have their carpet discoloring?

Nope, no cleaning or any other agents getting on carpet, no spills or exposure to anything. it's weird, the fading is along the sill area.

If you don't like it, why not pull out that stupid carpet and install rubberized flooring...like they should have done to begin with. That way, after a good off road trip, all you've got to do is sweep it out.

Carpet...me laugh.

So where can I get this ruberized flooring?

Shouldn't be too hard to find. I'd say a 5'x5' roll might do the trick. Of course, you'll have to cut it out yourself. Just use your stock carpet as a template and cut away.

This is my winter project. I'm currently shopping for a diamond plate pattern.

Stay tuned
