As that rack is basically the same design as a Yakima it looks like, then the Yakima High Lift jack mounts might work on there.

$63 here:

Yeah, I personally wouldn't use the quick fists for holding anything as heavy as a hi-lift. I was going to go that route originally and after ripping one of the quick fists I felt they wouldn't be safe.

I don't have a basket, but I ended up using Yakima X-Towers and converting them to hold my 60" Hi-Lift to the stock rack side bars.

I now have a 48" hi-lift mounted to the Shrock bumper.

only used the 2 brackets and hardware that came with the Yakima HiLift mount Kit . The Jack is the 60 inch length. If you click on the view full size button you can see the shovel mount as well.

so do you keep the shovel and Hi-lift up there all the time?

HiLift has a provision for a padlock to be placed on one mount point. The shovel is usually off since it uses large plastic winged nuts with no security provision. But I did leave it on for a week after a trip to the mountains and no one stole it. I guess the key is to use a good rusty shovel. smile

So besides the shovel the hi-lift stays up there all the time?

Are the hi-lift mounts metal or plastic?

hi lift is up all the time.

Mount brackets are metal but the inserts that wrap around the rack are made of plastic. This seems like it would give you the lattitude that you need to fit it to your rack dimensions.

But the problem is the diameter of my tube is 1"1/4 and the Yakima rack is 1"1/8th in diameter so my rack is a 1/4 inch bigger...do you think it would pose a problem?

1/8 th inch reaming of a plastic insert should not be difficult. Your mileage may vary. smile

then I was thinking of this I say on the newx website..anyone have experience with these?
http://www.fourtreks.com/hi_lift_roll_bar_mounts_1_75_.html
here is a pic also

they make hi-lift/shovel/axe mounts varying in sizes from 1"-2.25"
I figure since my rack has a diameter of 1 1/4" then it should fit...

They are very expensive, but should work.

The mount to hold the jack, shouldn't cost more than the jack. smile

Andy -AKA- KaiOtiK with NCCX uses those and has been happy with them. He has his mounted across the front of the rack tubes just behind his light bar.
