Hello.. I heard the 2WD people were a lot nicer.. so I decided to ask here! I am looking to get new lighting.. brighter and whiter. I heard about getting clear lamp housings and PIAA xtreme whites. Also sylvania silverstars. Has anyone done anything like this? I'm not very savvy on the subject at all!

Could you give me some advice and pricing? Thanks!

us 4wd guys are as nice, SOME of us just like to tease a little is all.
have you considered hid's/xenon lights? i have friends with them on their vehicles and they work great.
kind of expensive though. i think a cheap kit of hid's would be about 400-500.

I have 4 100Watt Rally brand lights mounted up top. They seem to do great. As far as regular lights I have the GE Super Brights in up front. They burn a regular at 65 wat.

PIAA claims that their 65watt light can put out as much light as a 125 watt. Other manufactures don't have this claim. Umm, wonder if it's another one of those garbage that their Ad department pumps out.

If any of you have tried PIAA, tell us how they work. Are they better than other white light bulbs?

BTW, do you guys think the stock X's headlights are too wimpy?

After a review of how to get the brightest headlights without changing the wattage and risk of damage to the wiring, I decided to purchase "Sylvania silverstars" and can be bought at WalMart or your local auto parts store. I love the new super white look.

I dont know about you all, but people are always high-beaming me, because they think i have my high beams on when I don't. So I think the lights are just fine smile

You might think 4x2 people are "nicer" but that still doesn't make this a better forum to ask (or better yet review) for information on lights. You'll find numerous topics on this in the "Stereo, Communications and Electrical" section already with lots of valid information, you won't have to ask anyone anything and risk being "attacked"

2wd Xterras cannot acommodate extra lights. Everyone knows this. Yet another reason the 4x4s are the way to go.
