I do mild off roading in mine aka gravel roads and a few dirt logging roads without any problems. What would everyone who has a 4x2 if we could arrange an "off roading" adveture just for the 4x2's so we wouldn't feel incapable in our 4x2's? I would have gotten a 4x4 myself but I could not justify the extra money since I don't "off road" enough to make sending the extra dough worth it. That and seeing my insurance hike was not cool either. eek

So who would want to try to organize something like I mentioned?

Yeah I joined about the same time I joined this one. I was just see what else is out there. Though I am thinking I might trade in my 4x2 in for a 4x4 now that I have moved to a farm stuck literally out in the middle of no where. I have to drive about a mile up the road just to get to a paved road! laugh

This summer I'm going to be doing some trips in the Uinta mountains that are offroad and don't require 4WD.

To bad you don't live in Utah. wink

I love my very capable little 2wd. I've kept up with 4wds every place we've gone so far and except for the lack of a locker I would never have had to fall off from the pack. I'm in Texas so our idea of trails are probably a bit flatter than the utah kids, or as my Mormon friends call them, Utards wink but good throttle control and good tires will solve a lot of problems. If you're ever down Dallas way check out Barnwell Mountain Recreation Area... just don't tell him (jim?) you're 2wd.
