Just curious to see what others got out of their stock rubber. We still have the stocks on @ 42000miles of mostly street driving. In all honesty, I hope they last a bit longer. The wear looks even and no problems with sharp objects. What should I expect? Thanks for your time

Wear depends alot on the driver!!! Heavy breaking and hard cornering will reduce the wear! I have 38k on my crappy Grabber tires and will run them till they need repalcing. They are a good everyday city tire. They hydro in the rain at 55mph though!

Thanks. What would you reccomend for a good replacement tire? This is the wifes truck and its mostly city driving with a few camping trips a year.

Well I have 30k on my BFG's Long Trail...so far so good but recently I have noticed that they are close to being worn out. I also found a nail in one of my rear tires the other day. I am praying they last for a long long time since I can't afford the new tires right now.

personally I have no idea, but my friend drives a frontier and with his Long Trails he has gotten over 75K miles on them with a kick ass tread still! He rotates them every 3000 miles.

Do quite a bit of highway driving, but i've got some tread left on my OE BFG's and im running about 45K on mine. Won't last much longer though, probably another 5K or so.

After these Grabbers bite the dust, it's on to some Pirelli Scorpions...I've heard nothing but praise about these tires...they're sposed to be great for a mix of light offroad/city driving which is right up my alley.

My stock Long Trails only lasted me 500 miles.... Then I traded them for some AT/KO's. Oh Yeah!

I've got 22k on my Grabbers... It still looks good and new... No complaints yet... But I'll try to make sure I don't hydroplane during a rainstorm in SoCal.... Bwahhahaha... Rainstorm in SoCal... That's a good one.. - Air B

No kidding about the hydroplaning. Man, these tires SUCK when it comes to wet driving, big reason why I flipped my X last year. That being said, I've got about 33K on them right now and the wear is pretty ok. It was kind of uneven at one time, but I got it realigned after the wreck and have been inflating/rotating properly since. Hopsing, I get my Scorp's in September(or late August)!! Woo hoo, can't wait!!

i got about 50,000 on mine and then replaced with Perelli Scorpions. 31x10 Awesome tires, never ever hydroplane now. Hell, I can't even do a doughnut in the rain anymore.

00' Xterra, stock Long Trails lasted 30K and they were cashed. My fault actually being that after my first snow drive I was like "Hell No, these are outta there". Tires sucked ass so I quit rotating , balancing and otherwise looking out for them at about 20K.

I'm just about ready to puchase the BF Goodrich All Terrian T/A 31 10.50/15. My orginal Long Trail tires have lasted till 54K. Not bad!!!!

JJ Hey y'all, long time no e-chat! I still have my stock General Grabber AW's on mine. The only problem I had was a front tire flat. The front tire ran over a nail somewhere on the road. The folks at Discount Tire Co. were able to repair it, which saved me a hundred bucks or so for a new tire. To answer your question, my Xterra has somewhere around 23,000 mi. and the tread still looks good. Of course most of my driving is road, with about 10%-15% off-road use. Trudge on!
