yes i search and found alot of good stuff, but none of the pics work anymore, can anyone re-post some pics of their reverse glow guages? I hate how the guages are so dark on the xterra...sometimes its hard to see them.

02's are dark? mine are white with red on my 03'
no probs seeing them............

yup mine are dark, not to be a complainer but damn....can hardly see them at dusk and even during the day sometimes.

alot. The Texas sun makes the inside
dark and with sun glasses on I couldn't
even tell you how fast I was going.

how do they attach to the old guages? and how hard is it to take the dash apart to get to the guages or what do you do?

it's not to difficult as long as you take your time. the key to getting the dash apart is the
steering column(five scews i think) and just following the path of dissassmbly. The only PITA
that they don't tell you is you have to remove the needle indicators to install.I had to take it apart three times to get my gauges back to indicate properly.

I'm not a fan of the actual glowing gauges, but I like the white faced gauges.

I actually bought an instrument cluster from a 2001 X for my 2000 X. I bought it for the plastic shield because mine was cracked in 3 places. When I got the gauges, they were silver. When I took the purchased unit apart, I decided to take mine apart too and switch the gauges. Looks SWEET!!! I now have factory silver gauges that are SO easy to see. I'll take pics later and post them....

Best part about it....IT WAS SIMPLE fot the switch. I unscrewed the entire gauge mechanism (all four of them) from the circuit board and just swapped them with the new one.

agreed, i had the "reverse" glowing gauges in my last car...........white faced by day and like this by night w/ the lights on...........

Anyone found replacement guages for the 05-07?

Hello all this is my first post..I just bought a 01 xterra black ..It's and xterra Extreme ..I don't know all I know is it has these leather extreme seats and it says extreme on the dash and front quarter panels( you get the idea) Anyway I have noticed the dash being really dark so I bought these gauges that I see on here on E-bay but the instruction are terrible.I was wondering if anyone here has installed them and could help me out with some better instructions or a link to where I can find it..Thanks to you all and looking foward to chatting withn some of you!

I am also curious as to how to remove the speedometer and such for a replacement... I have a 2002 any help would be appreciated.
