I went 53" up the Paragon 30 degree RTI ramp on Saturday, according to my math that would be equal to a 743 on a 20 degree ramp. I lost a bit of traction as the ramp is on a cinder base but I was not unhappy with the score.

There was a TJ with full size axles there and it was one hell of a beast, it was seriously modified for trail use and he just about maxed the ramp out(he was around 105" up the ramp)....very impressive truck.

53"?

I suppose you mean 53'?

Just curious, I know nothing about what you are describing, but 4-and-a-half feet up any hill sounds doable in any truck . . .

Unless you are talking about something else altogether, where " does not refer to a distance . . . confused

Thanks, Eric.

I will never pass up an opportunity to give an opinion on something I know nothing about, I guess . . . :p

Damn...when did the kits start popping up for X's? Someone came into my shop about a month ago and asked if I had anything...but I don't really keep up on what's being produced cause it's mainly a fab shop. I guess I can hook him up w/ a few distributors now. Who makes all makes the kits?

There are body lifts and suspension lifts. To learn more about them, search for 'lift' in parts&accessories or the suspension forum. There a few manufacturers out there of X lifts including Calmini, AC, and SLR. Also check out a few of our sponsors in the banners above.

You have a shop? (or work in one) You might want to check out some of the posts in NCCX. I am sure some guys near Chico might be interested in some mods that you could help with.

I have a shop. Just a big bay. Nothing like a parts sales place or anything. Just fabrication work and whatever else 4x4 or 2x4 or 2x4 into 4x4 related wink There's a pic of the door of it behind my jeep. Nothing special just my evil laboratory laugh

I'll check out the banners. I'd like to get more interest in SAS stuff so I can just make up a weld on kit for that kind of stuff to just straight swap in a waggy 44 or something. I can get matching gearsets made if I make 50 orders. I'd just assume the front ad rear axles are swapped though...it would probably be cheaper.

Todd's X has the 3 inch AC lift for suspension, while running 32X11.5 Swampers(basically a 33)

I scored a 33 on the same ramp. I also have AC's 3 inch lift, and 32X11.50 BFG MT's. My front sway bars were connected, as Todd's were not.

I probably could have gotten a little higher on the ramp, but that being my first time on one, I didn't want to push it too much. Being off-camber in the X doesn't really agree with me smile
