I am looking for a picture of the bottom of an Xterra front and rear diff. Anyone got any? Or got a digital camera and a few minutes??

KJ, That is an Xterra. As stated on POR the vehicle was not moving, the bank it was on gave way and it turtled on the hill. It was found on a post on this forum (very old).

I asked it over in the Hardcore area. I was trying to figure out if you guys had enough meat on the bottom of your rear diff to do a skidplate like we do on our "other make" trucks! I thought it might help out some of the X guys who were running rocks.

It's simpler, less bulky and much less expensive. This protects the 3rd member when rock-crawling and also protects the rear U-Joint. See an example here: -P
