Missed that you were talking about using the third from a rear. Still need to go over it in my head, but I'll assume you're correct now.

When you say the front and rear driveshafts rotate the opposite direction, are you talking about looking from just one end of the vehicle, or looking down from the t-case to the axle? On the Nissans, seen from the t-case, the front turns CCW, the rear turns CW, but seen as a whole they're both rotating the same direction in relation to the vehicle axis. Is the Toyota different? If I recall correctly, in some instances you can borrow the front's third to stick in the rear to limp home if the rear were to crap out, then I'd say they have opposite rotation at the pinion just like the Nissans.
