Agreed. If you're going to spend that much money, do a 4x4 conversion and get some function instead of form.

If you want a lift that bad, why not just do the suspension lift and put 32's on? Infact, since you're 2WD you shouldn't be getting that twisted up so you can even put 33's on with light trimming. Body lift doesn't do squat for you except allow you to run tires over 33", and I don't see the point in that unless you like getting 12 MPG and having a top speed of 50 MPH on the highway! Too many better things to spend money on!
BTW, with 35's you're going to have to cut metal, even with the BL.

I really dont see why people cant get it through their head that its not for "performance"...i know hundreds of people that have fx4 fords, and z71 trucks. That never use their 4x4.

Oops I posted too soon. My point is that their are sooo many people with 10in+ lifts that never take their truck through the mud or use their 4x4 unless towin, its just a pain in the a ss when the day is over...and pointless these days unless your goin huntin and really need it...I guess people that post on this forum are all married and dont really care how their truck looks to other females...as for me, so many girls would rather be drivin around in a lifted truck than just a stock soccer mom xterra...thats just how i feel, everyone has their own opinion...anyways, I would kill to have a 4x4. IT is possible to convert to 4x4? how much? and from who?

IT is possible to convert to 4x4? how much? and from who? If you don't mind doing the work yourself, there's a guy here somewhere that has a Frontier Desert Runner converted to 4x4. It wasn't cheap or easy, but it is a possibility if you're thinking of going for it. The advantage over 'trading it in' is you can do a little at the time as far as expense, if that's easier on the budget. I was 100% committed to doing this until I saw the '05's. Now I'm just going to wait. The extra horses are worth it.

How many of the Baja 500 vehicles are 2 wheel drive? They take 20' jumps that we wouldn't dream of, and at 80mph. I'd say that a 2 wheeler has it's place, just as a 4 wheeler does. I used to have nothing but 2 wheel pickups, and hauled my motorcycles around all over the place. I used to run through the mud just fine, just at a higher rate of speed. To each their own. Even Texans have big trucks, and not many of them are 4x4. But I'll beat up Texans in some other thread.

They're Pre-Runners if they lift it and use it for offroad trails. Anybody (2WD and 4WD) who lifts a vehicle and never takes it offroad is a poser.
You don't improve a vehicle's street performance by adding air resistance and making it more likely to tip over.

since i read something about converting to a 4x4, i am going to ask this question here. How much dose it actually cost to convert a 4x2 into a a 4x4. Some people say its hard and cost lots of $ while others say its cheap and quick.
