Pulling transfercase for calmini gearing

Hey guys..im about to pull my transfercase for the calmini gearing..
Im sas'd so my radius arms are attached to the crossmember i need to pull off to remove the transfercase.
all my buddies are sayin its gunna tweak my front axle if we pull this off and let the arms hang..should i take off the arms to pull the cross member..everyones saying that im gunna need a rotary but im sure one of you guys have done this before.
please let me know and thanks for all your help

As long as the weight of the truck is %100 percent(at full droop on both sides and off the ground) off the axle then there should not be any issue. And dont let your crossmember come down all the way, use a ratchet strap cuz you only need an addition 2-3" to pull the Tcase.

Have fun. Those top bolts are fun to get out but don't dismantle your interior to do it...you can get at them from underneath with patience and a nubby wrench.

New problem
we have pretty big 6 ton jackstands for the frame but they still wont reach
should i just get a couple cinderblocks and put em under the jackstands or will that still be not enough?
how much do i need to jack it up for the front suspension to be at full droop?

Couldn't he use ratchet straps as to not have the full amount of flex when he jacks it up??

Don't jack from the front axle. If you have to get 'er up in the air with a hi lift from the sliders or front bumper if so equipped.
But no, you're not talking crazy if you jack from the axle once you let the frame down onto the stands you will lose some of that droop.

If he's SAS'd...and he jacks up the front axle...how is it going to droop?...its the tires that get stuffed when the axle is lifted... I think he could jack it from the front bumper and/or, guess how high is high enough when jacking by the front axle....slide stands under the sliders or frame, then let it down, and hope the tires don't reach the ground anymore. Taking the tires OFF would also decrease the total amount of lift to get the arms at full droop.

12-14 Bolts I Think Some come in from the front and others from the back. Some on the top come in from the back side of the truck.

I'd jack it up by the pumpkin as high as it will go, put the jack stands under the frame, then let the jack down and take the tires off. If your jack stands are decently high hopefully you can get the thing to droop fully.

I'd be worried about them breaking/cracking. Jack it up, put jack stands in place, take off tires and drop it down onto the jack stands. If you really need a little more height use some 2x4s under the jack stands.

My album of t-case gears install. I went with the gears from A/C cause they were cheaper, they are made by big balls off-road in Australia and the reuse the HUGH OEM bearings. instead of having an additional pressed on bushing and new smaller bearings. Also A/C's gears were available for shipment the next day and Calmini had a back order. My ALBUM

If you go to Harbor freight they have some cheap TALL jack stands.

What Farwest sez...dont use cinder blocks they crumble without warning. Use wood: 2x6s, 4x4s, etc.
