Hello evryone! I just thought I'd jump in here (been lurking a while) and introduce myself. My wife and I just bought a new 2003 X to replace our Isuzu Trooper that blew a motor at 32k due to excessive oil consumption.

So far we love the X but like evryone else, we wish it had a bit more power. Other then that we really do like it. I'm not sure of the exact color but it is kind of a goldish/silver color. It is used mainly for my wifes daily driver and grocery hauler.

I'll be watching for a local meet to come up and will try to make it by to meet some of you. Is anybody else from the Antioch area?--Rob

Blew a motor at 32,000 miles?!?? Wow, I guess after it was fixed (under warranty) you just traded it in, huh? At that point, I suppose resale value was just no longer a concern, eh?

Yep, the Trooper experiance sucked. We actually traded it in while the motor was still being replaced at the dealer. Believe it or not, the dealer gave us full book trade in value for it. He was also a Nissan dealer so he took it on trade. I was so pissed off that I didn't even want it anymore. They are having a severe oil consumption problem with the V6 Troopers. They are using 1 quart per thousand miles. Isuzu is claiming that this is "normal" oil consumption. By the way, they are pulling out of the USA and have closed all but one Bay Area warranty centers.

Well enough about my Trooper woes. I found out that the color of our X is referred to as Bronze. It seems that even Nissan doesn't have all of the colors listed on their site.
