U R invited to my place for a BBQ and just plain get together. My place is kind of center situated for a get together of my friends and wheeling buddies.

So July 21st I will host a BBQ at my place here in Eddy. Nothing fancy but food, fun and just camaraderie. Bring anything you think we’d like to share or just show up. It’s not going to be a big deal just fun. We will make it a family affair if you want to bring kids but I don’t have a lot for them to do :oops:

I have plenty of parking and there will be room for you to stay over if you don’t want to drive home. Crash in the house or my RV or heck we can camp by the fire too

I’ll post particulars later but just wanted you to get it on your calendar now just in case you can and want to attend!

Wow, that day looks actually good for me at this time. We still haven't planned our Family summer vacation , but I think we are look at early August for that, so hopefully I'll be able to make. Nothing Boy Scout related going on that weekend!

Get used to it! You'll have even less time when he start's sports, and scouts, and all the other activities he's got to get to. Then when you have the second one that eliminates any passing the duties to your wife to get him there, since she will be driving the other one to all her volleyball games. girl scout meetings, etc! We (Cindy and I) each get to see about 3/4 of what our child do, since it always seems that if they each have something to do on a certain, both will be at the same time, or close enough so you can't do both!

Amy and I plan to be there. Be good to see some of you strangers!

The backyard has an acre fenced in and there is more if needed. The front is another acre for parking and such. I have my 5th wheel plugged in at the house too so that is more sleeping space... with AC.

Room won't be a problem, depends but plenty of room in the house too.

What about dogs. I think me and trish may stay the night. Shes needs some A/C sleeping of course. But we dont want to leave bandit at home by himself overnight.

Dogs are fine... just remember I have 3 big Labs... they just may need to get adjusted to each other

Bandit gets along with Fred(jasons dog), so he should get along with yours.

Yea, mine get along well... it's a turf thing when new dogs come on their turf... sniff, growl and jump around and then all is well.

Should I get a keg(pony) will it get drank? What about the Margarita machine? Don't mind having them if they get used. If not I will just have the fixings and a blender and a cooler or two of brews.

I have some extra chairs but probably be safe and bring your own.

Even if I don't get a keg I'll have a couple cases of brews... looks like I might go with my buds Margarita machine especially if I don't need to make the full 5 gallons.

My little town is dry... so closest place for beer/wine is 10 miles up the road.

edited to add: If anyone has a shade type shelter that would be nice... may get hot sitting out in the afternoon. I have a screened in patio but no shade in the yard.

I cna do deviled eggs but I would prefer to do them at your place so I dont have to transport again. I dont drink beer, so Ill bring everything in my alcohol cabinet so I can get rid of it.

This is gonna be the biggest event we have had in a while.

I hope my "BAFT" (Big Ass Family Tent) wont take up to much space. By the way Roger, Jonas (my oldest at 11yrs) is the only one at this time coming with. I susspect as it gets closer my other boy will change his mind.

If you drink beer and can bring some that is GR8 too. I will have some (mostly self consumption)

Well, last weekend I was on call and every swinging D%c! decided to have heart attacks and the wife was out of town on bussiness, it was rough. Good for the pay check, bad for my sanity. Looking forward to finaly meeting some people in a club I have been a member of for some time and catching up with the few (only Roger I think) I've met.

Man what a good turn out. It was cool to see everyone again. We need to start doing this more often

Any pics? It was a great time. The boys had an awesome time, i consumed too many beers and got my ass kicked by both the humidity and my tent.

Huge thanks to Roger and his wife for putting my boys and I up and for cooking as well as Lance stepping up to the BBQ. It was a great boost for my sanity to hang out with my boys and with a bunch of great folks who love the outdoors and wheelin as much as I. 6 hour road trip was most certainly worth it.
