I'm still around. Busy with college and work and church.
Still having fun with my Xterra though. My tires are still holding up Roger! haha. love them. Done a few mods - 55w Backup lights, Raingler Mini X-net, and some other little things here and there. Hopefully either getting a new exhaust or intake soon.

Active Membership has been steady between 45-50 this year. Not the 80+ we enjoyed a couple of years ago, but obviously times have been tough in the telecom/ tech sector, which employed a lot of members.

We seem to have a more diverse membership base now, so I expect our ranks will turn up over the next year.

I'm getting my X when I start working after I graduate. I can get a great discount offered from my future job-and since I'm not holding back on any features, it'll be worth the wait!!

That's why I need to meet some Xterra owners and get some advice about what's necessary and what's not needed on an X....maybe you can help in the future...

Everybody i have met are really nice and would more than gladly help you fix it up. I would go for some good tires first, then there are so many options after that.

What job is going to give you a disount? I need one of those! Anyway... welcome to XOC... hope you enjoy it and find the info you're looking for... my only advice is to skip leather, avoid the supercharger (unless you're getting a kickass job and want to spend all your money on super premiun fuel), go with the 4x4 the first time, and don't expect to have the gas mileage of a Honda, cuz it won't, and avoid South Point and Town North's service centers & sales if possible... so how much longer till you get to go shopping?

Oh yeah, and stay away from austinbrtndr, he's evil. (Hahahaha, you know I'm kidding Craig)

Well, it'll be about a year....I was shooting for May '04, but since I don't start working till Sept. my discount won't work until then.

So, Deloitte & Touche is where I'll be working, and they have deals with Nissan and Infiniti and basically the dealership sells to you at their cost! You pay like 2.9% for delivery or something...not bad, huh? So, I'm definitely going to be fixing it up, starting with the tires as recommended and of course, 4x4. Can't get an SUV without that! I was gonna go for the SC Xterra, but why do you say it's not worth it besides the gas guzzlin' problem? You get like 40 more horsepower...is it not worth it? I mean, I'll be hitting the roads in Colorado...won't it come in handy??

So, I was also thinking, if ya plan on going off-roading any time, could I tag along since I don't have one yet?

One more thing...for anyone who knows anyone who has a Jeep Wrangler.... My friend has a white soft top, brand new, and is willing to sell it for a few hundred bucks! Serious discount...if anyone is interested let me know..he's got it in Dallas for all you up in North Texas.

You're welcome to join us whenever you want... you might even try and make it to a few meetings or dinners (isn't it about time for another one?), I don't think anyone would mind... as for the SC issue, in my own opinion, the 30 extra horses in a vehicle this size isn't going to do a whole lot... not to mention the extra money spent to purchase the upgrade, then all the extra cash spent at the pump... there are a lot of people driving around CO in n/a X's that don't seem to have many complaints... but then again, there are a lot of people that love their SCs... I'd drive em and see for yourself...

I believe the next scheduled trip to Barnwell is going to be the weekend before Thanksgiving. Some people go up Fridays, others go first thing Saturday morning. I will probably go up that Friday again, so I can get in two nights of camping. I'm sure somebody will allow you to tag along on that trip.
