Ok guys, since the site is down and we can't get ahold of Jacob (the admin). We arn't sure when it will be back up.

Did anybody copy the info for the X-mas party?

In any case, the party will be on 12-9-2006 at SLR. This will be a potluck.

We will have a best decorated Xterra contest, and the prize will be... well we don't know yet, maybe just a special title or nickname. [LOL]

Any ideas on a time preference?

I would be in favor of an early afternoon type of thing. Say, 12:00 or 1:00. Not in favor of an evening (dark) thing.

I agree with Dan, mid day works well.

I seem to recall at least this much of what was posted for food so far:

1. Chris and Emily - some sort of desert
2. Frank & Heather - antipasto plate
3. Dan (AVXterrra) - some sort of cooked animal, probably on a stick.
4. Spencer - something Chinese
5. Jason (WolfmanX) - some sort of stew?

That's all I can remember.

Ok so noon is the meet time. Please post up if you will be coming, and what you will be bringing.

Hey, what about a gift exchange? Thoughts?

What up party people! Hola from Colorado. Hope everyone is doing great!

So, if we have a head count by that Saturday, I can bring wings and ribs. (I have a client that'll hook us up. They do these big to-go packs that come with flavored wings, ribs, salad, bleu cheese slaw, chips and dip.)

See you all later,

Bobby [drink]

Sounds like Bobby's just about got the entire party covered. wink

Hope the road trip is going well.

I like the idea of a raffle for whatever it is that Brian has, with the money going towards web hosting.

Great, just one more thing to spend money on. Maybe Dan & I can get a group discount going on lifts; we could both use more ground clearance, especially after the JTNP run. smile

yes it's open to every one, in fact it would be a great opportunity for new people to meet existing club members and not have to worry about a run being brian stock friendly or actual stock friendly smile

Jason, sorry, I don't have any peoples contact information, best I could do is PM people on these forums. I lost all my phone contact information when I switched carriers.

I'll plan to bring cookies! We need some dessert to go along with all this MEAT. wink

So, I'll switch from salami & cheese antipasto to Julian Apple Pies.

Sure thing, I'll try to keep them frozen till they get there. I will bring rolls since salads and potatoes and meats seem to be covered. So, rolls and Otter Pops. (I wonder if they're made with real otters?)

If they are made with real otters I'm sure Rachel will recognize the taste. Oh wait, that was chipmunks. smile (Guess you had to be at the NR-JTNP campsite to follow that one.)

Jason, please switch my listing to Apple Pies.

I sent messages to Edgar (Ed_monster) and PaulXyZ through the 2nd Gen X website, but have not heard anything yet.

Bobby, if you have Betzy's home phone could you try to call? I've left a message on Eric's cell, but she may not be checking that.

Frank, I only have Eric's cel. Hopefully Betzy is checking it. I've got Internet access for a few more hours, maybe I'll see if they're listed.

I reached Rachael and she's going to be out of town for work. She talked to Spencer, though, and he said he's going.

I work in Temecula that night, so if I plan everything right I might be able to go. I still have to do the 95,000 inspection before then, so we'll see. Put me on the list tentatively, I will bring my delicious buffalo chicken dip!

I'm not quite clear as to the location. Yahoo maps can't find it, and Google maps takes me to 150 W. Mindanao in Bloomington but at a different zip code than what was shown (92316 vs. 92376).

Is the location just SOUTH of I-10 off the Riverside exit (a little west of I-215)?

Maybe someone who has been there could post directions from I-10.

Thanks.

Oh that's funny.

There is about as much chance of Xtoolbox hosting at his house! If he did then he could not show up hours late because he had to lead a late Xcursion like he did for years. My wife considered it very rude when he showed up every year hours late to our house.

I hosted:
SCCXmas 2000
SCCXmas 2001
SCCXmas 2002

If work had not messed with my schedule at the last minute I would have hosted it in 2003. Twitch stepped up an hosted!

Krisjon... how many times did you or anyone else host SCCXmas. [Wave]

Oh that's right! There was NO SCCXmas 2004 or SCCXmas 2005? Oh that's right! It never happened! Everyone talks but no one does.

It took bashing CALMINI,

gushing over another manufacture and a sucking up to that manufacture to get something going for 2006.

Man... WolfmanX what did you do to get SLR to install all the stuff on your Xterra? WolfmanX what did you do to get SLR to host SCCXmas 2006 for you? I guess your place was too small to host it yourself? But hey maybe Xtoolbox can get some free welding done at SCCXmas 2006.

Xtoolbox will never host it! Brian gets everyone else to do everything else for him. Then he usual steps in and takes credit for it. Xtoolbox couldn't be bothered in 2004 or 2005. Neither could anyone else for that matter in the new SCCX.

Happy Holidays Cary,

Just so you know, I was initially the primary contact person for the SLR/SCCX Christmas party thing. And in fact, Spenser offered to host it, it was his idea. I thought it was a gracious offer and presented it to the rest of the club. It was agreed upon and Wolfman offered to be the point man since he was already in contact with Spenser on a regular basis due to the fact that his X was at SLR getting work done. Just so you know.

I looked at the pictures you posted and it appears you and your family were wonderful hosts and the parties were very festive. It is a standard I hope we can achieve this year.

Now then, to the seemy underbelly. I was not a part of SCCX when it turned sour for you or anyone else. I do feel sorry for you since I enjoy spending time with this particular group of people and I appreciate the different dynamics they bring to the club. I pity you that you cannot, especially during the Christmas season, put all this behind you. I pity you that you allow this to consume you to the point that you feel the need to attempt to ruin something that is special to others. Perhaps its time to either let it go or get some councelling.

Anyway, Merry Christmas to you and your family Cary. May the Spirit be with you and brighten your holiday season. smile

Street fair at the college, 9am? We're going to church at 9:30 so it would work for us to stop by on the way. If that would work for you we can meet you there.
