People have a tendancy to group extremeists with the legitimate religions the extremeists claim to be a part of and use that as an excuse to being hate apon a large group of easily identified individuals. The problem with flipping the sentence around is that MANY muslims are peersecuting people on the basis of their ethnicity... The Vatican only had revenues of $209 million in 1997. A good chunk of Sunday donations never goes to the Vatican proper. It stays within the Diocese. I would argue that CRS is a part of the Catholic church. Catholic Relief Services is a part of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, which is a part of the church. The entire board of directors is made up of Bishops (and one Cardinal and one Monsignor). 90% of donations are given back out (that's pretty damn good for a charity).
