I think Indy will clean the field with the Bears....the Bears aren't as good as their record would indicate, IMO. I'm amazed they made it to the big one, but it shows how weak the NFC really is.

I can at least savor the GB victory on new years eve though.

But...the Bears deserved to win. Bottom line, you can't turn the ball over 4 times and win in a game like this. It wasn't the weather, either; the Saints did the same exact thing vs. the Ravens in the Superdome and got their a**es handed to them in that game too.

Too bad to see Fred Thomas' career end like that, he's been a solid player and for a CB to last 11 years in the NFL is remarkable.

It was a disappointing end to a terrific season, but the foundation is in place for future success. All things considered, it's been a great ride.

That picture is of one of the "Super fans", a sketch from Saturday Night Live back when Chris Farley was a regular. Norm from Cheers was also a regular on that skit.

Basically, they sat around looking like stereotypical Chicagoans with VERY thick southside accents, eating and drinking all the stuff that makes Chicago the fattest city in the nation, and made ridiculous statements idolizing "Da Bears" and then-coach Mike Ditka.

"Ditka driving the team bus vs. Dale Earnhart in the Indy 500. Who wins?"

"Is dis a mini-Ditka....or a regular Ditka?"

The best was when Ditka took the coaching job for the Saints and Chris Farley's character moved to a town that was exactly half way between Chicago and New Orleans and wore jerseys that were half Saints, half Bears.
