Had my front windows tinted yesterday.

Today, I noticed what looks like dried water spots and a white-ish hazing between the window and the tint film. I took it back to the guy who did it and he said it can take up to 30 days for it to completely dry and clear up.

Does this sound right? I went to a good shop supposedly, but this tint job seems a little shoddy.

Yes, that is normal behavior. The time it takes to clear up is dependent on the weather. The warmer it is, the less time it takes.

An Icelandic Xterra? Wow... I never even noticed before!

Quick fix....get extension cord, set dehumidifier in back, turn on high, leave in for a few hours....presto...windows dry & clear!

or even a blow dryer or a heat gun will help out as well....

another good tip for ya,,,,Make sure when you are going to wash your windows make sure you use a ammonia free window cleaner or make sure it's safe to use with the tint,and use nice soft rags not paper towels...Paper towels can act like a piece of sand paper and scratch it to shit...

Thanks for all the help, guys. Hopefully, these windows will clear up and look great. The installer actually did a damn good job matching the factory smoked glass.

How dark did you decide to go up front?

Not exactly sure, but I think with the kind of tint the guy used it was around 25%. I guess the factory smoked windows are about 20, but it's in the glass.

Had mine profesionally tinted and it took 4 days to get rid of everything. Looks great. Pics to come. Had the windshield done at the top too.
