I found it is also dependant on the wax. I found the Meguiars Tech Wax to work pretty well. If I get wax on the rubber/plasic, it just rubs right off. I then put a coat of B2B on it.

tron thats not exactly true, it more so depends on the plastic... i use meguiars regularly and it seems to act just the same as other waxes... though i have yet to wax the x to see how the trim treats the wax

I'm getting worried now. I've yet to pick up my 05 S Xterra this Thursday. They said they were going to wash and wax it. I'm going to look this truck over to see if they did a good job waxing and didnt get it on the trim and bumper areas.
