OK...How many of y'all has this happened to.

I take my X, and trusty wash mitt over the spray it yourself car wash...Get her all soapy, rinse her down, dry her off...Lookin' sharp...Oh, for about FIVE MINUTES, till the skies crack open, and animals start walking two by two down the street...Oh, well, guess means I'll have to do it all again tomorrow...

I know exactly how you feel! I washed and waxed (3 step) mine on Saturday. It was gorgeous!! Sunday? Poured all day! Ah well, it was beading up beautifully!

I think it has something to do with Murphy's Law. No matter what it will almost always rain soon after you labor to get your X looking great...Oh well just another opportunity to spiff it up again!!

Oh yeah, washed mine yesterday, and 1 hour later-the skies opened up and we had a huge lightening storm as well. Washing my X is like doing a rain dance!!

Can't complain though. At least I finally got the remainder of road salt and other winter crap off of it.

Just happened to me too! Took my baby to the car wash (I know, the horror!!! But our outside hose pipe is broken now so I have to go to a friend's house to do a hand wash!) and it looked BEAUTIFUL! I did the inside too and it was spotless, all shiny and gleaming! Then yesterday it rained and ruined it! Guess I'll have to take it again!!

Oh yeah.. I can top that! I pick up my new 2001 Solar Yellow today from the dealer, and.... it freakin' snowed last night! I'm gonna lose it if they salted the roads!

Be happy.

Having a nice coat of wax on your X is very good during the rain.

Seraphym13, that's exactly where I bring my X to be washed, that's if only off course if I'm in a rush and need to have my X washed immediately. Hey hope to one day run into you someday, but not actually running into you

OK...This is ridiculous...I don't even wipe the damn truck down for three days, due to threat of rain...Of course, no rain...Take her to the DIY car wash...Hose her off, wipe down, all nicey-nice...I PULL OUT of the lot from the place...Driving along, about thirty seconds, and...RAIN DROPS...MORE DROPS, THEN HERE COMES THE RAIN...I tell ya what, if every X owner in NY washes their truck once a day this summer, we will have no drought problem, cos' it will just rain all the time...AAAGHHH!!!

Hunter, haha I hope to maybe run into you one day too! Outside the car wash! hehe. I have bad news now though, I think I have the beginning of the dreaded rear hatch rust!!! I am SO upset. I noticed a few bubbles under the SE letters yesterday and I freaked. Maybe car washing isn't a good idea right now?? I just got all this nice car detailing stuff from the auto show on friday and I am all set to use it too. I already waxed the TINY spots I found and I really hope they are just nothing. *POUT* My poor baby..

THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!
It doesn't rain for 23 straight days...That's right...23 days...I don't even FINISH my detail work on the X...Just do the hood, front fenders, and driver's door...Of course, what happens? RAIN, RAIN, RAIN!!! Well, the only positive thing I can say is that I can watch all my hard work in action...The rain water literally is bouncing off the hood, like grease on a frying pan...Later!

I gotcha one better, I wash my X one weekend, and by the next weekend I have this uncontrollable urge to go out and play in the woods and it's all muddy when I get back! Oh the irony of it all!
