Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to remove the dealer decal that they stick on the rear door? Anyone used "goo-gone" ever for something like this or have any ideas, please let me know...Thanks in advance.

You know what I did? Told the dealer I didn't want stuff stuck on my truck. So they didn't put it on when they brought it in. They did ask to put a license plate frame on though. I said "sure, go ahead" and removed it the next day. My point is, maybe the dealership would be willing to remove it. Perhaps if you suggest the plate frame in exchange. later Rob ------------------ 2000 Black SE 4x4, 5spd ========================= "not all those who wander are lost" -J.R.R. I also told my dealer "no decals", the salesman said no problem he'd make sure of it, but they still put one on along with the license plate frame. I refused to drive it off the lot until the salesman took off the decal, then I took off the plate frame when I got home. However, to answer the original question... I suggest carefully picking at a corner with your finger nails to get it started, then pull it off. If the decal is actually individual letters do the same thing to each. There will probably be some glue residue left on the truck. I found that lighter fluid takes the glue off very well, and it won't harm your paint job. Just dampen a small rag with the lighter fluid then gently rub off the glue. Hopefully the decal hasn't been on too long, otherwise the paint may have faded around it. Get it off as soon as you can!

To add on to what has been said. Once you remove the stickers with lighter fluid and/or WD40...immediately get some wax and buff that area where the sticker once was. By doing this...it should help a lil of the color loss and/or remove any remains of the lighter fluid.

The key word is "gently". No hard rubbing or you may remove more than glue.

I've also heard the hair dryer solution. This is the same way they remove the adhesive body trim from vehicles.

I've had my Xterra for a week now...should have made the dealer remove their advertising. Anyway, I just removed the dealer stickers using the hair dryer method...and it worked like a champ! Used just a touch of WD40 to remove the excess glue. Looks great!

I pealed the dealers stickers off as soon as my salesman gave me the keys, I stuck them to that sticker thatt was on my instrument panel, then I gave him both, the dealer stickers weren't on long enough to leave any sticky goo. He asked me if I wanted a plate frame, and I told him sure... if he would knock 50 bucks a month off my payment for advertisement. He decided against that.

Rub some WD-40 onto the sticker and then hit it with a hair dryer for a minute or so (not literally, just the heat!). The vinyl decals should curl up and peel right off. A friend of mine told me about that trick. Thankfully my X came with a plate frame instead of decals.

You can use the hair Dryer, works great and then use Goof Off Home depot sells it that is the best way to protect your paint, WD-40 is a coorisive and might leave swirl marks in the clear coat were the sticker was.

when i picked up my X, the dealer had just gotten it on the lot the day before. i had to wait for them to bring it from the detailer when i got there. on his desk was all the paperwork, my spare key, etc. he had a HUGE red sticker, "O'brien Nissan" it was like 2"x4" i said, "dave, there's NO F'n way that's goin on my truck!" he said to me, "what do i say if my boss comes out and sees you driving off without it?" i said, "tell him to go F himself! that thing is NOT going on my truck!!" but he did put on TWO license plate frames!! came RIGHT off, replaced w/ my Yankees frames!!
