Technical Service Bulletin NTB00012

Hi to all! Long time lurker, first time poster here. Can't tell you how much I have learned here from everyone.
I need to get a copy of the Nissan Technical Bulletin NTB00012, and was hoping someone could give me a copy. This bulletin regards 2000 Xterra's built after Oct. 6, 1999 not having an EGR valve.
I recently took my 2000 Xterra to the local inspection station and was failed for "missing EGR valve." As I have done all of the maintenance on my Xterra myself in the last 5 years, I knew: 1) I didn't remove it 2) it didn't fall off and 3) No one stole it! I argued with the two "mechanics" for a while, but got nowhere.
I went home and did a little research online. I first seached this site, but found nothing. I found a brief summary of the bulletin at the NIssan website, but would like to get an actual copy of the entire thing. I emailed Nissan but have heard nothing back, and am also waiting on a call back from the service dept. of my local Nissan dealership. In the meantime, I thought someone on this board might be able to help.
Thanks guys.

Also, have the dumbasses at the Emissions station look at the sticker under your hood. It won't state EGR as one of the emissions control instruments.
Geesh, when you show them the TSB, kick them in the ass, then ask for their manager, and kick him in the ass for hiring morons.
Really clenching my teeth on this one....

What is an EGR valve? My X was made in March 2000 so I take it I would need this??? I just had it inspected (also in NC) last June and they didn't say anything about it. If I need one can someone please send me the info?

Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve
EGR Valves help to reduce engine temps and emissions by introducing small amounts of already burnt gasses into the combustion chamber during certain times of the engine running.
An emission's control device deamed unnecessary on some vehicles as percieved by Nissan. The emissions were controlled in other ways on some models.
Look on the left side exhaust manifold, see if there is a thick metal tube going from the manifold to the intake, via a valve with a vacuum diaphram on top of it. If there isn't one there, then you don't have it. If don't have it, don't panic, you have a model that didn't need it.

Hello, I was wondering if you can point me to where I can find TSB NTB00012. My Nissan Xterra is failing the smog/emissions test because it's missing the EGR. I saw your post on a previous entry stating that you had emailed another member a copy of this to another member. Please assist!! Thanks!!

Uh, dude, this is the third time you've posted the same question. I responded to both previous posts. Stop asking. http://www.xterraownersclub.com/cgi-local/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=recent_user_posts;u=00015539

Digging up and old thread... Id like to have a copy of this TSB as well. The old links are dead. I'm considering a JDM swap into my X and might need this down the road.
Anyone still have an old PDF or link to this TSB?
Thanks!
