When doing this mod what size screen should I buy to cover the vent?

Also, please excuse my ignorance, but what is the disadvantage if simply using the 'Recirc' button?
Doesn't the 'Recirc' mode offer cooler temps when using AC?
Thanks.

I used aluminum fly screen from Home Depot with a couple of beefy tie wraps. I would not use tape as it will rot.

Recirc does not seem to help as much as you
might expect. It seems there is still a lot of heat retained by the remainder of the HVAC system, presumably as it is mounted against the firewall.

Punching out the bezel holes made about a 30% improvement in my case. Plugging the left and right fender holes made another 30%. It's good enough now that I have completely forgotten about this issue.

There's another copy of that HOW-TO available... Looks like it's the same, though.

This sounds like it's related to the A/C issue I've been having on my 2003. It appears the solution to the warm air problem was to have the compressor run full time. This isn't documented anywhere, but its what I'm experiencing and two dealerships and Nissan Consumer Affairs tells me that its the case.

I really wish I knew the whole story here. It seems to be a complicated and bad solution to a fairly simple problem.
