This is the mini one at Hungry Valley OHV in the Practice course with some other cool obstacles. Photos of Snoppy, BlueLeader, Bakersfield, & the Toolbox a while back on SCCX33.

Work in progress photo album is at:

BTW looking forward to some real sluice action on the Rubicon next summer ;-)

They are 32x11.5x15s and they are worth the money IMO. They are a great tire. I paid about $600 for the four after taxes and installation.

How do you like them on your Rubi?

Thanks Brian for the pics. As always, great shots!

I would love to be a part of your Rubicon adventure. I'll have to see what I can do to let it happen.

The real Little Sluice is just a 'tad'
bit tougher.

Little Sluice

Looking up Little Sluice

I could not get the Image code to work so
you will have to click on the URL to see it.

The built Toyota is just entering the sluice.
He has to get past the boulder (just to the left of the jagged boulder) in front of him by making a sharp left pivot around it.
He snapped a front axle trying to make the
pivot. After that it's not too bad.
A very short section of trail.

Right where the man is standing in the second
picture is the boulder you have to pivot
around to the left. This is the crux move
of Little Sluice.

If you want longer, more continous 'action',
run the Old Sluice section from Spyder Lake.

Man, an SAS and hacked doors on a Taco... Some people don't let their rigs age before going hardcore wink

I still haven't been able to really use them as intended but the little 31's seem quite grippy in the dirt. I'd recommend them over the BFG's, wouldn't you?

No offence Xtoolbox. But all those big rocks you were driving between, would have to be squished together into about 3 row. Then put a vertical wall on one side and a 45 degree wall on the other. That will give you a better idea of what to expect at the "LITTLE Sluise. We will only be sitting on the hill with a beer in hand watch the trailered-in rigs go through. But it is a great show!!! Looking forward to attepting to make it that far!! laugh

[LOL] that's the actual name of the obstacle at the practice area wink Yup I have R. Russell's Rubicon video and seen the real deal & lots of pictures and I agree you have to be a [Freak] to try it or gatekeeper with a IFS rig. For those that will be SAS'd by then who knows it might be possible???…A few have said they will be going for the little box.

BTW that sluice is only moderately challenging and can be done in any stock 4x4 Xterra. Marty he's one for you with slightly bigger boulders that I successful drove over in case you're wondering/haven't seen some of my other photos smile
