How about a "Wall of Shame" for those that mod their Xterra's to the point of useless? I know each of us at some point have passed another Xterra and been like WTF? This happened to me the other day and luckily I had my camera on me. Here's my entry into the Xterra Hall of Shame.

Completely chromed out with bug netting across the chrome brush guard and his lo-pro Potenza's are about 10K past replacing.

I would have taken several shots of it but the guy was a high school kid and there were some personal things written on his windows so I figured I'd at least give him that respect of privacy.

I usually don't reply to this kind of post, but thought I would today. And yes, I have my flame proof suit on.
The way I look at it is at least he shares in the same love for vehicles as we do. True, I would not have gone that direction with my X, but then I know plenty of people who think I'm nuts for all the things I have done to mine. So in the end I would say to whoever owned that X "Good on you for doing what you want, and can I have a loan since it looks like you have more money then me." :p

If your not making the payment then what does it matter to you? Most here dont mod their trucks that way but its his and Im sure he likes it so leave it alone. Alabama must be more boring then I thought since you took the time to take a picture.

I think a wall of shame is a great and funny idea. But here's my thought... if we're gonna open up this can, let's really open it and put up pics of all the blinged-out pretty-boy SUV's we see out there. I know I have seen plenty of "JAOS" whores out here... [Laughing]

Just my 3/4 cents

So to those I-respect-what-he's-trying-to-do-ers, where do you draw the line?
Is this okay to do?

If not, then why to an Xterra?

Why would I, you, or anyone ever judge what's O.K. for someone to do and what's not? I'm really not a religious man and haven't been to church in many many years but hell, we definitely don't have the right to judge or say what's ok and what's not.

If someone likes, it - be it. Simple, really.

No kidding man. Take a deep breath and relax people. Take it for what it is... something to give a little chuckle in your day. Nobody is hazing the guy for what he did. Being this is an offroad dominant forum, the contrast of the vehicle is humorous in my opinion. Nobody is hazing the guy for what he did to it. Glad to see there are others who were entertained.

Sorry I can't see it as a morality issue, more of just stupidity.
Can my fat friend tattoo a pic of his hero Hulk Hogan on his entire back? Sure. But know that I will never stop making fun of him for it.

I am a church-going guy, a devoted Christian, and I have no issue with this. We're having fun at the expense of vehicles. That's it. There are no pictures of people. And I figure as long as we keep it and our comments that way, why not? If we take ourselves too seriously, what fun is there? Heck, I'm not afraid to admit that before I was an Xterra owner, I owned and drove a royal blue Geo Metro. No joke! People called it my girly car. I called it "The Beast" and I had a huge yellow "California Offroad Club" sticker on the back window. Ahh, memories....

Uh...

Given that there's a Chevy Astro on the right side of the pic, a Lowes store in the background, and what appears to be a Ford Escort in the Lowes parking lot, what else would you expect to find? Do you need a 3" lift to get around the Lowes in Alabama or something? It's not like you're taking this pic on some hardcore offroad trail - you're in a parking lot.

I love it. "I was cruising the mall parking lot in my Xterra when I spotted this 'useless' Xterra..."

bottom line...modding is fine, whether you're lifting or dropping, adding mud terrains or low profiles...the problem is when the modding is just done bad (see photo above)

Just this morning my wife had to drive my X to work so I could have the windshield changed in hers.

She walked through the door to the garage singing the Delivernece dueling banjos song because she thinks my truck is so redneck smile

I love makeing her drive it [Spit]

I'd be more curious to ask the owner why you'd need a wing to slow down one of the already slowest trucks on the road.

If you look closely above the tailgate's handle it's got a "sport" sticker on it ... good for 45 hp at least!

Don't you remember watching the A-Team when they'd sometimes stand on the step rails while the van was in motion, or in the movies when S.W.A.T. team members are being transferred by black SUV's they ride on the outside. That's what those handles are for im sure.

Hah, a lambo won't get you very far in NYC especially near the first pct. It's right outside the holland tunnel where there is nothing but traffic. That is a SICK x though..
