I went first, got 3/4 of the way and my tires slid off the passenger side wall.

At that point I called for a strap frown and got pulled out of the hole. Made it out under my own power after that. I'll try it again when I have something other than an open diff.

Kevin did a lap, made it look easy.

Then Jordan in the '05, did just fine.

Then Stewart did a lap and did fine.

Had no problem keeping up with the rest of the group. I did have to get straped once, but that was a tire and ground clearance issue. I did use the locker alot, but didnt have too, just made things easier.

I was probably stupid to try Hell's Gate on that new of a vehicle, especially after watching Troy smack his truck against the wall. However, the power in the 05 was great and was able to crawl up slowley.

The squeeze had me a bit worried. My chunky monkey was millimeters from the wall. I had made it this far without body damage, didnt want to blow it here. With the help (if you call it that) of spotters, they got me through. You can see how close though:

Yeah he went down it and Troy went down it. I hit it on the left more where the drop was not so extreme. They were hitting there rear bumpers/carriers pretty good on the decent.

Awesome ass pics there guys. So how steep are those rocks?? Seems like some serious pucker effect takes place there. Also how well do you think an '05 S edition will fare there? I don't have a rear locker so I have to rely on the ABLS. I want to do that so bad but won't be able to do it '06 because our baby will only be about 3 months old by then. Maybe I can make it in '07.

It can get quite steep and the pictures don’t do it justice. A stock truck without a locker shouldn't have to many problems. I ran Moab in 2004 with a bone stock 02 with sliders. You will have to take different lines than the locked or modified trucks. One thing you will want to have is rocker protection as at the stock height you could easily damage a rocker panel.
