I enlisted the help of my 12 year old daughter, she has tiny hands.

Last night we were able to reverse the bolts.

You guys shamed me into it, so I corrected it.

Putting in a clutch by pass switch is pretty simple.

First you will need a switch, I put in a two postition, (on-off)12 VDC, 15 Amp, not the momentary type, I found with another truck I had that you cant always have a finger on the momentary switch. Never had any bad side effects from using this type

You will need some wire (red and black) I used some 12gauge I had laying around.

Next just find the switch at the base of the clutch peddle, there are two wires coming off this, you want the one that has POS 12 VDC with the key in the "ON" position (not running)connect that wire to the "OFF" side of the switch, run a ground wire from the "ON" side of the switch to ground the other wire coming off of the clutch switch. Test to make sure you wont start in the "OFF" position and you do start in the "ON" position. If connected incorrect, just reverse the wires.

Mount the switch where ever you feel comfortable.

You're the man. I'm looking at heading up to the Anchorage area as a AK State Trooper...what the hell, sounded like an interesting job for a couple years. Wish my '03 Granite looked as good as yours. Llet me know if you're looking to play around on someone else's truck wink [LOL]

Come on up as a State Trooper,

They have cool jobs, always on the move, you get to see the state, the list goes on.

Yea, when you get here I will help you work on your Xterra.

But your not allowed to arrest me..hehehehe

laugh

If I ever go back to Law Enforcement, I could never arrest an Xterra owner unless I HAD to. And if you helped me work on the truck, I could probably overlook just about anything laugh

I'll keep this in mind if I make it up that way! At least you can still drink in Alaska! [Spit]

Sure...but I can't seem to get any of them to post on here. PM me your email and I'll send you a couple (you might want to ask the question in about 2 weeks when I have a lift and new tires. Everything that I have actually had the time to install so far is performance stuff..engine work. And I'm making some custom wiring harnesses for roof-mounted lights and for hardwiring in a power inverter and some other things. Let me know. [Too much XOC]

Pic 1, let me know if this works

This is with JUST engine and performance modifications. I have an old GI footlocker in the back filled with parts that I haven't had time to install frown but I'm getting there. Let me know what else you want. Hehe I have differential carriers on the counter in the apartment (nice living alone again...sometimes...) wink .
